With a background in non-profit administration, I am aware of the financial constraints non-profit orgs and community groups face. All of my services are offered on a Gift Economy, barter, or pay what you can basis, meaning that those without funds can receive these services for free, in exchange for another service or offering, or pay a fee that best fits in with your org's budget and goals.

  • Community Wellness Program Development
Working together, I will help guide your organization in creating a wellness program that is sustainable and in tune with your organization's needs. Your wellness program will include the tools and resources to facilitate in-house wellness options for both staff and clients.

  • Grub Party
A Grub party is a potluck with a purpose. The goal is to inspire people with the sensual pleasures of the table and provide a visceral connection with the healthy, green, fair, and affordable food to which everyone should have access. Grub parties challenge attendees to bring a dish made with sustainable, organic, local, and ethical ingredients, made from scratch, has personal meaning, and considers specific dietary approaches. During a grub party, attendees are presented with an issue and are encouraged to discuss it and share ideas and possible solutions. Visit www.GrubItUp.org for more information.

  • Wellness Talks
Wellness talks are offered on a variety of topics, including but not limited to the basics of healthy eating, feeding the whole family, alternative healing therapies, introduction to vegetarian diets, breaking the sugar habit, eating for energy, or a custom topic of your choice.

  • Grocery Store / Farmer's Market Tours
Participants will learn how to navigate the aisles, read labels, talk to farmers, and talk to management about increasing healthier choices.

  • Cooking Demonstrations (2 hours)
My cooking demonstrations offer simple techniques in selecting and preparing healthful foods. I focus on seasonal, plant-based foods from local grocery stores and farmer's markets. Attendees will leave with recipes and all the information they'll need to create these recipes at home.

  • Community Wellness Day
A Community Wellness Day is a mutually beneficial opportunity to increase awareness of your organization while presenting relevant health and wellness information to attendees. Participants will be introduced to traditional and alternative models of health and be encouraged to take active steps towards improving their health and well-being. A Community Wellness Day can also help your organization achieve its fundraising goals.

  • Customized Newsletter Development
A newsletter is a great way to promote health and wellness in your organization. My articles can be a great complement to your existing newsletter, or we can work together to develop a newsletter that is aligned with your organization's goals

  • Vita-Mix Demonstrations
The Vita-Mix is a high performance blender that can add value to a food pantry, soup kitchen, day care center, nursing homes, afterschool program, and most importantly, your home! During this demonstration, attendees will learn how to make healthy whole foods juices, smoothies, soups, and desserts with no artificial colors, flavors, or other unnatural ingredients - all in 5 minutes or less.
